Desana gives our customers and their employees access to a network of great work spaces through a single monthly subscription. We do that by supporting coworking spaces fill spare inventory by giving our customers access to it through our app.

We’re a growing company based between London, Edinburgh, and Stockholm but we aim to become a globally relevant company by disrupting the way people and companies think about, and access, the places they work. We’re looking for the best people to join us on our journey.

Open Roles

Senior Software Engineer (Node.js) Our backend powers our native iOS app, our native Android app, and our single-page web applications (SPAs). Using the latest technologies, you will help build the backend to deliver exciting new functionality including team booking, meeting room booking, a brand new analytics platform and more.

Location

Remote within a 2 hour time difference of the UK.

Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute from day one.
  • Have ownership over deployment of your own code onto our Kubernetes infrastructure running on Google Cloud.
  • Implement new functionality on the Node.js backend to support frontend requirements.
  • Participate in agile work methodology, including daily standups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.

About You

  • Strong background in JavaScript (TypeScript), Node and React.
  • Experience with gRPC, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Google Cloud, CI/CD.
  • Experience shipping consumer and business facing applications.
  • Ambition to deliver world class software.
  • You love to learn and continually develop yourself and your wider team.
  • Like to have fun, interact well with others and an absolute team player.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Salary

£46,800 - £69,100
