Start your day

Plexal is slapbang in the middle of the Olympic Park, meaning that you have access to some world-class facilities. Fancy a dip? The aquatics centre is home to two 50 metre pools and opens every day at 6am. Is cycling more in your wheelhouse? The velodrome is open to non-members every day from 8am and has both cycling tracks and studio classes.

Go for lunch

Plexal is part of the Here East campus and on-site they have a whole range of eateries to choose from, including vegan cafe MOTHER and Italian restaurant Gotto Trattoria. If you fancy more of a walk, you could check out independent cafe PEARL.

Take a break

The whole Olympic Park is 560 acres - equivalent to around 500 football pitches - so they are plenty of places to go for a walk or a run. If you prefer design to daisies, go for a stroll around Hackney Wick - the area is known for its artistic links, from street art to independent studios. There are regular exhibitions at Stour Space which provides affordable studio space for artists.

After work

If you haven’t had enough of a workout, you can drop in on a street dance class at the Stratford Circus Arts Centre on Thursdays or take a trampolining fitness class on Mondays at ZapSpace, a Victorian theatre turned trampolining hub.

If you fancy a more leisurely evening, stroll along to Roof East. Don’t be put off by the fact that it is on the roof of a car park; this is a buzzing spot where there is always something interesting going on, from crazy golf to virtual reality table football. In winter they have curling, while in summer it transforms into an open air cinema.
